Writing Outside the Lines – Prompt 2.46

I apologize for not posting a prompt the past few weeks. There comes a time when pause, reflection, re-evaluation, and rejuvenation needs to come first so life is able to continue down a new path …

The prompt for today is a phrase that crept in my mind this morning as I went about feeding the animals, administering meds to a couple of barn kittens who have upper respiratory infection and eyes …

“Summer’s Backdoor …”

Writing Outside the Lines – Prompt 2.40

In my 20 plus years of teaching writing to all ages, many adults want to write but are hesitant due to comments made to them as children about their writing or even as adults as they step into the writing world. Writing is a process and that process is different for everyone … for me it is an ever-changing journey of personal discovery. I am one of the lucky ones who had supportive writing mentors who let me know that sometimes writing rules are made to be broken … but never let anyone silence your voice or kill your story.

Share your writing journey …

You have until Sunday, July 16, 2017 to share your writing … or when you feel the mood strike even after the 16th.

Let your creative juices flow … make me feel, see, taste, smell summer through your sounds!

Writing Outside the Lines – Prompt 2.38

Today’s prompt was something I heard watching MSNBC a week or so ago as the host and round table discussed the whole RussiaGate mess and the ensuing investigations that have grown like hydra from that intrusion in our democracy. Of course everyone wants things to move a warp speed and get to the end of what happened but there is a process that must be followed. The following was said by Chuck Todd – mind you, I do not agree with most of his politics, but this quote made the guests and I think those of us watching sit up and notice …

“Everyone is trying to read the last page of the book.” Meet The Press Daily June 20, 2017

What does this quote mean to you? You can relate it to what is going on in our democracy or to anything of your choice … it did make me think …

You have until Sunday, July 2, 2017  to share your writing … or when you feel the mood strike even after the 2nd.

Let your creative juices flow … make me feel, see, taste, smell summer through your sounds!
