Writing Outside the Lines – Prompt 52
For our final prompt of the first year for Writing Outside the Lines, I bring you my dear friend Suzanne Carey. Suzanne is not only an amazing writer but an equally amazing photographer of beautiful nature scenes. She chose one of her pictures for our last prompt of the year.
Remember, you have until Sunday, August 14 for your response … or any time after the 14th. Every prompt for our first year will remain live so if you are new to our little group you are able to follow the year-long journey from Prompt 1 to Prompt 52. We will begin year #2 next Sunday, August 21st with the designation of Prompt 2.1 and will continue to the end of year #2 with Prompt 2.52. Please join our journey in writing and sharing. This is a place for fun where everyone regardless of writing experience is on equal footing … no one is better than anyone else. So, without more of my rambling I give you Suzanne’s prompt!

I am honored to have been asked to choose the final prompt of the first year of an amazing prompt site, created by my dear friend Annie. We met on Twitter. Her pic/ poems always drew my attention. I’d read her words and I’d see more of the story. One day I got up enough nerve to share what I saw with her, and that, as they say was the beginning of something special. So in honor of our humble beginnings, if you will, I give you this photo I took. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is in any style you’re comfortable with, tell me a story. Talk about anything that this picture makes you feel, or talk about the boat and why it might be laying forgotten. Whatever you want.. Just have fun. Thank you Annie for being my mentor, for supporting, teaching, pushing and guiding. This one is for you.
