This week has seen several rainy days. Rain creates many different feelings, emotions, reactions for each of us. Use the picture to write your response to this week’s  prompt.

I find it interesting and a bit unusual that the prompt for this week is #15 since the challenge began … and today is November 15, 2015. Incorporate that tidbit into your response if it works for you!

Remember you are in charge of your words, there is no ‘right or wrong’ with this process other than to have FUN!

You have until Sunday, November 22, 2015 to share your writing … or when you feel the mood strike even after the 22nd.

All prompts are active and feel free to go back to earlier ones if you have not been one of my Writing Rebels … the only challenge here is between you and what you have to write … the rules are few and open to everyone!

*For those new to this challenge, please read the particulars under the third tab that says “read first” https://annieswritingchallenge.wordpress.com/writing-outside-the-lines/ then return to the prompt page to post your response or your web site link in the comments section

  1. Does The Rain Betray Us/Or The Reverse?

    Rain is a life sustaining
    Part of this water world…
    So far as we know
The only one of its kind

    And yet we never
    Give it due respect…
    Do the heavens see it
    And punish us for
    Our neglect?

    In the same season
    In the same place
    Drought and flood
    Taking lives…
    Not sustaining

    Where did we
    Go wrong…and why
    Will we ever learn
    That we’re more
    Scourge than blessing?

    A species extraordinarily blessed
    Intelligence galore
If only we used it right…
    But we don’t…
So hold on, one and all
We’re in for a bumpy ride
