Look at the picture. Use the picture alone, the quote alone or the two together for your response to this prompt. You decide!

Remember you are in charge of your words, there is no ‘right or wrong’ with this process other than to have FUN!

You have until Sunday, November 15, 2015 to share your writing … or when you feel the mood strike even after the 15th.

All prompts are active and feel free to go back to earlier ones if you have not been one of my Writing Rebels … the only challenge here is between you and what you have to write … the rules are few and open to everyone!

*For those new to this challenge, please read the particulars under the third tab that says “read first” https://annieswritingchallenge.wordpress.com/writing-outside-the-lines/ then return to the prompt page to post your response or your web site link in the comments section

  1. Not Unbreakable…It’s My Heart

    I never built a wall
    Around my heart
    Never tried to keep
    Myself safe from
    Being hurt…

    I sit and wonder
    What was I thinking?
    Assumptions…
    You know what
    They say about them…

    We’re taught
    To be loyal
    Take our vows…
    Some take them
    Seriously…
    Some with
    A grain of salt

    Who opens
    Their heart
    Intending to
    Find hurt?

    And yet…
    Half the time
    Or more…
    That’s the result

    I won’t close
    The door…
    I’ll offer the key
    At the right time
    But I’m not like
    A china shop

    Here…what
    You break
    You’ve lost…
    No second shot
